Scottie Scheffler won the FedEx Cup Playoffs and Tour Championship to “wrap up” the 2024 PGA Tour season earlier this month. Or so it seemed. But there’s actually more golf in store on the PGA Tour as the FedEx Cup Fall begins with tour cards for 2025 on the line.
This week’s Procore Championship (previously called the Fortinet Championship and, prior to that, the Safeway Open) at Silverado Resort’s North Course is the first of eight events being played between now and November and will brings some of the best golfers in the world to California. Like in the FedEx Cup regular season, winners of these fall events will earn two-year exemptions, 500 FedEx Cup points, and spots in The Players, The Sentry and the Masters.
Plenty of pros will be scrapping and fighting to sneak into the top 125 by the end of the RSM Classic in mid-November. Only the top 125 retain full status in 2025 with Nos. 126-150 pushed to conditional status.

Last year’s champion and World No. 12 Sahith Theegala returns to Napa to defend his first-ever PGA Tour victory. Two-time Procore victor Max Homa will tee it up this week as well, as will 2023 U.S. Open winner Wyndham Clark and top-tier talent like Kevin Kisner, Stewart Cink, Mike Weir, Camilo Villegas, Min Woo Lee, Corey Conners and Mackenzie Hughes.
This week’s winner will receive a $1.08 million cut of the $6 million purse.
