Clues for I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here’s star-studded line-up are being dripfed to viewers this week ahead of the season premiere.
Aussie wildlife warrior Robert Irwin joins TV presenter Julia Morris as co-host of the upcoming 10th season of the Network Ten reality show, which begins filming in South Africa in just over two weeks.
The Network 10 reality show will see celebrities thrown into the jungle and go head-to-head in daring challenges. The winner will take home $100,000 in prize money for the charity of their choice.
While fans don’t know much yet, some small clues as to who will jet off to the jungle have been released — giving viewers the chance to begin the guessing game in the run-up to the premiere on March 27.
Celeb 1: Controversial TV star
So far, it’s been revealed that a “controversial TV star” is one of the celebs who have signed up for the reality series.
Celeb 2: Gold medallist
A gold medallist is “diverting from Paris”, according to another clue released by Ten.
Given Paris is the host city for this year’s Olympics, it’s possible this “gold medallist” is competing at the global event come July.
What better training than a stint in the South African jungle?
Celeb 3: International comedian
This star is said to be “loved by the royals”.
“They’re used to hecklers, but are they used to Irwins?” Morris hints.
Celeb 4: TV love rat
Teased as a “bad boy” who “breaks hearts”. This could be literally anybody who has appeared on MAFS or The Bachelor.
Celeb 5: AFL legend
A hall of famer has signed on for this year’s show, who also has a premiership win under their belt.
Celeb 6: International stage sensation
In one of the more specific clues dished out, this male stage star is “ditching his famous family” to head into the jungle.
“It will be a reality check when they see what Robert Irwin has in store,” Morris said.
Celeb 7: Celebrity cook
A well-known chef is signed on to star, and will “cause a stir”, according to a teaser.
We can likely rule out Miguel Maestre, who appeared as a campmate in 2020, Colin Fassnidge, who starred in 2021, and Poh Ling Yeow, who featured in 2022.
I’m A Celeb’s 2023 winner Liz Ellis donated her $100,000 prize money to Share The Dignity, while 2022 winner Dylan Lewis gave his to the charity Lifeline. Abbie Chatfield, who won in 2021, gave her $100,000 prize money to Dementia Australia.
Meanwhile, it’s been a tough couple of weeks for host Irwin after he announced his shock split from his girlfriend, Rorie Buckey.
The pair, who had reportedly been dating for one year, announced the news that they had parted ways in a joint statement on Instagram earlier this month.
“We wanted to share that we have decided to go our separate ways but profoundly appreciate all of the time spent together and wish one another all the very best into the future,” the post shared on Buckey’s Instagram Stories read.
“We wish to express the gratitude and respect we have for one another as we continue our journey on different paths.”
Irwin and Buckey made their relationship public last July when they walked the red carpet at the Sydney premiere of Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One.
