Cricket Australia has announced a fresh 23-player national men’s contract list for 2024/25 on March 28.
The list features four new entrants this year which include names like Xavier Bartlett, Nathan Ellis, Matt Short and Aaron Hardie.

A new list for 2024/25 has seen 23 Australian men’s cricket players earn contracts ahead of the T20 World Cup 2024 in the US.
Matt Short and Aaron Hardie, who made their international debuts last year, has been rewarded for their consistent performances.
Several players have also missed out on contracts for 2024/25.
Alongside veterans like Peter Handscomb, Matthew Renshaw and Matthew Wade, youngsters like Tanveer Sangh, who played against India in the T20I and ODI series last year has failed to make it to the list.
Established names like Marcus Stoinis and Ashton Ager have seen their names removed while veteran batter David Warner announced his retirement earlier this year.
Men’s cricket contracts have risen by 7.5 per cent last year off the back of a new memorandum of understanding (MOU).
This means that the average retainer is now $951,000.
According to cricket.com.au, the top contract-earner is set to make more than $3 million a year, with the minimum retainer likely worth $367,000 before tour payments and match fees.
