American singer Pink has made a major announcement just days after touching down in Australia for her Summer Carnival tour.
The 44-year-old has declared she is quitting X (formerly Twitter), leaving her legion of fans in shock.
The pop star made the surprising announcement via two separate tweets on Tuesday night, one of which she later deleted.

“Have you ever been at a party with a bunch of salty old people that never realised their dreams?” one tweet read.
“Where the liquor ran dry ages ago, there’s no music — no one’s dancing — you would’ve had more fun at home with your blind cat?
“That’s twitter these days — or whatever it’s called now. Byeeeeeeeeeee.”
A minute later she posted, then deleted, a follow-up message.
“This account will self destruct in two minutes. Do it!!!!” the message read.
However, by Wednesday morning local time, Pink’s account was still up and running, albeit not updated with any further messages.
Pink regularly calls out online trolls and haters, so perhaps she had been trolled one time too many — but fans begged her to stay on X.
“You got toooooooo thick of skin to let this stuff eat at you Alicia (sic),” one fan wrote (Pink’s real name is Alecia Moore).
“Be you, stop giving in, you have 1,000s of fans here that love and support you.”
Another wrote: “Don’t break my achy breaky heart!”
The Who Knew singer joined Twitter, as it was then called, in 2009.
She has since attracted more than 30.7 million followers on the platform, with 10.6 million followers on Instagram.
Fans love her down-to-earth posts, which often give an insight into her everyday life, the stresses and joys of touring with a family, and her thoughts on parenting and politics.
Recently she hit back at a troll who told her she had “got old”.
“Yes, although I don’t feel old, and I still get to wear a leotard to work, growing older is actually my first ‘grateful’ every day,” she wrote back.
“What a blessing to have life, years.
“To be this strong, to be able to still p*** off complete strangers just by existing.
“F*** yeah, times 44!”
On Tuesday, Pink and her family were spotted at Bondi in Sydney.
The star shared snaps on Instagram along with a caption declaring her love for Australia.
“Bondi Beach it’s been too long!!!!!!! Bills was delicious, too❤️,” she said, referring to Bills cafe.
“Soooooooo happy to be back on this side of the world!
“Thank you beautiful Australia for being our home away from home.
“Kids are stoked 🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽.”
Pink is Down Under with her children Willow and Jameson and her husband Carey Hart.
The pictures of the family enjoying Bondi come as the couple are said to be “seriously considering” moving the family to Australia.
“It’s not only somewhere she’s been a lot, but it’s her favourite place in the world and she has a huge fan base there as well,” a source told US Weekly.
The family reportedly has a “ton of connections and friends” in the country and finds life “so peaceful”.
“Pink believes she and her family would have an amazing life out there,” the source said.
“Pink and Carey would love to live in the countryside away from the city so that their kids can still have plenty of space to ride their dirt bikes and play.”
