Australian NBA star sidelined indefinitely with knee injury

Australian NBA guard Dyson Daniels will be sidelined indefinitely with a tear in his meniscus.

The Athletic’s Shams Charania is reporting that the New Orleans Pelicans star will miss through the all-star break.

Daniels has sat out the Pelicans’ last two games with the knee injury.

The 20-year-old continues to grow and improve at NBA level, averaging 21.9 minutes per game for New Orleans this season, as well as 5.5 points and 1.4 steals per game.

The Australian Boomers star will be in the calculations to once again feature on the international stage this off-season at the Olympics, should he be fit and healthy.

Daniels was selected with the eighth pick in the 2022 NBA Draft.
