Style aficionados have been left scratching their heads over this year’s Australian Fashion Week lineup.
Major brands like Carla Zampatti, Romance Was Born and P.E Nation will be taking to the runway to showcase their stylish designs and pieces at the 2024 event, with labels like Bec + Bridge, Mariam Seddiq, Michael Lo Sordo, and Acler making favourable returns.
Yet Nadia Bartel‘s brand Henne was not included in this year’s show, despite it being the most popular event on the schedule in 2023.
The fashion brand, which has been modelled by stars like American supermodel Emily Ratajkowski, made its Fashion Week debut in 2022 before making a triumphant return the following year.
A spokesperson from Henne told Daily Mail Australia that the company is focusing on bigger and highly-anticipated plans for its brand, including the opening of its Sydney boutique in the coming months.

‘Henne will not be participating in Australian Fashion Week 2024,’ they said in a statement.
‘After two successful showcases in 2022 and 2023, Henne is redirecting its focus to the opening of its first Sydney boutique in June. This decision reflects the brands commitment to expanding its retail presence and ensuring a successful launch.’
‘Henne expresses gratitude to AFW for past opportunities and looks forward to future collaborations.’
Daily Mail Australia also reached out to Australian Fashion Week for comment.

In November, Nadia shared a huge career update, teasing plans for the brand’s global expansion.
‘A few exciting things are coming,’ she told Daily Mail Australia inside The Birdcage.
‘We’re really busy at the moment… Yeah [we have plans to go global] … We’ve had a few big people wear the brand, which has been, like, so exciting.’
Nadia certainly made her mark on Australian Fashion Week last year.
The runway extravaganza was the most popular event on the schedule and the biggest show yet, with fellow WAG Rebecca Judd, Married At First Sight star Martha Kalifatidis and Phoebe Burgess all in attendance.

At the show, the mother-of-two looked incredible in an off-the-shoulder cream top teamed with a silk skirt and heels as she walked out on the catwalk at the end of the show to thunderous applause.
The show was held against the stunning backdrop of St Barnabas Anglican Church in Sydney’s Ultimo, and ’80s power dressing with a hint of Y2K was Nadia’s inspiration for her range.
Nadia told Daily Mail Australia she was thrilled with the turn out and was grateful to her pal Bec Judd for flying up to Sydney from Melbourne for the big event.
‘Bec is such a good support and a good friend,’ she said.

The former AFL WAG said she was moved to see people wearing Henne, before explaining the inspiration behind her show.
‘My inspiration was the ’80s, power dressing, shoulder pads, suits, and YTK,’ she said.
Nadia added she was proud of herself for ‘working hard’ on her brand.
‘I’ve been working so long behind the scenes and I had my online store, seven years ago,’ she said.
Henne has been a runaway success with the word being Swedish for ‘her’.

The website lists its core values as a commitment to women’s voices, circularity, mindful consumption, working conditions, and environmental impact.
‘Henne are committed to reducing our impact on people and our planet. We are constantly evolving by exploring new sustainable practices through material sourcing, design, manufacturing and our packaging,’ the website reads.
It comes after Nadia – who shares children Aston and Henley with her ex-husband Jimmy Bartel – declared that current boyfriend Peter Dugmore is ‘The One’.
She gushed over her hunky partner of two years to Daily Mail Australia in March at Glamour on the Grid in Melbourne.

The Henne founder started dating the model in January 2022 and it seems things are as serious as they can get.
After going public in late 2022, Nadia and Peter have often been seen cuddling up at exclusive events and on sweet dates around Melbourne.
She has kept her romantic life private since her divorce, though was previously linked to Nathan Brodie in 2020.
Nadia and Jimmy announced their separation in August 2019, but it’s believed they actually split two months prior.
