Australian fashion brand loved by A-listers goes under

Popular Australian designer brand Dion Lee has gone into voluntary administration.

According to documents filed with the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC), Anthony Resnick from dVT Group was appointed as administrator on Thursday.

Dion Robert John Lee established his eponymous brand in Sydney in 2009.

He debuted his first collection at Australian Fashion Week that same year before going on to present collections in London and New York.

Lee’s designs have been worn by several A-list celebrities such as Jennifer Lawrence, Gigi Hadid and Taylor Swift.

In 2018, Meghan Markle wore a navy Dion Lee dress during her visit to Australia with her husband Prince Harry.

Dion Lee is sold globally in over 40 retailers such as Net-A-Porter and Selfridges.

According to its website it has six flagship stores in Australia and one in the US.
