Australia and Afghanistan are playing against each other in the eighth match of the Super Eights in the T20 World Cup 2024. This match is being played at the Arnos Vale Stadium in Kingstown, St.Vincent.

The wicket at the Arnos Vale Stadium has been a tad slower and helped the spinners. Thus, we can expect the Afghans to give a tough fight to the Australian team.

Considering the pitch, Mitchell Marsh has opted to field first on winning the toss. They have played the best brand of cricket and will be looking to build on the momentum they have. The Australian team has made one change to their team from the previous match. Mitchell Starc has been rested, and Ashton Agar has been included, keeping in mind the spin-friendly conditions.

Rashid Khan, the Afghan skipper, was happy to bat first. He felt the pitch would get tougher to bat during the second innings, and hence, they would have batted first on winning the toss. With things turning out in their favour, Afghanistan, with their great variety in the spin department, will look to test the ODI World Champions in the game. They have made two changes to their team from their previous match – Karim Janat and Nangeyalia Kharote have made their way, replacing Najibullah Zadran and Hazratullah Zazai.
