Geelong Football Club extends its congratulations to the individuals recognised at the Club’s Hall of Fame dinner
The Geelong Football Club extends its congratulations to the individuals recognised at the Club’s Hall of Fame dinner held last night at GMHBA Stadium.
Among those honoured was 2011 Premiership captain Cameron Ling, with the 246-gamer awarded Club Legend status for his remarkable contribution to the Cats both on and off the field. Ling is the 28th player recognised with Club Legend status at the Geelong Football Club.
Current senior coach Chris Scott along with 2009 and 2011 Premiership players Travis Varcoe and Harry Taylor were all inducted into the Club’s Hall of Fame.
Additionally, the Cats proudly acknowledged the 13 individuals who were awarded Life Membership, including Geelong’s first AFLW life members.
Individuals awarded Life Membership: Patrick Dangerfield, Tom Stewart, Zach Tuohy, Rhys Stanley, Jed Bews, Brandan Parfitt, Mark O’Connor, Jack Henry, Jake Kolodjashnij, Tom Atkins, Gryan Miers, Kate Darby, Renee Garing.
The Geelong Football Club also congratulates Collin Carter on receiving the esteemed RJ Hickey Award, recognising his outstanding service to Australian football.
A former club president from 2010 – 2020, Carter’s service to the game goes back to 1985 when he was a consultant to the then VFL commission.
