NRL-bound flyer headlines early Paris schedule

While the official opening ceremony hasn’t even happened yet, there will still be a few sports getting their Olympic campaigns underway on Wednesday night and into Thursday morning (AEST).

Highlighting the first day of competition will be the men’s rugby sevens, with the Australian team in action for their first group stage fixture.

Included in the squad will be Roosters-bound flyer Mark Nawaqanitawase, who will head to the NRL after the conclusion of the Olympics, while the likes of Maurice Longbottom and captain Nicholas Malouf will also be competing for the Aussies.
