Serbian powerhouse Novak Djokovic has made a statement in his first-round men’s singles match against Australian Matthew Ebden.
Djokovic looked relaxed and at ease throughout most of the match at Roland Garros, winning 6-0, 6-1 in just 53 minutes.
Ebden struggled to find answers against the 24-time grand slam champion, even pausing to ask the crowd if they could do better as he offered up his racquet sheepishly.

Ebden, who hasn’t played a singles match in two years, offered a wry smile as he got handed a drubbing.
He finally got onto the board in the second set and held his serve, resulting in a roar from the crowd, but it was too little, too late for the Aussie.
Djokovic proved to be too strong, hitting seven backhand winners and making just 10 unforced errors.
