After a long and busy tennis season, 128 men and 128 women will compete in the US Open Qualifying Tournament in hopes of earning their place in the fourth and final Grand Slam tournament of the season.
In the qualifying tournament, 16 spots are up for grabs in the US Open singles draws, and a mix of tennis veterans and young players will compete.
On the men’s side, three-time major singles champion, including 2016 US Open victor Stan Wawrinka, will compete in qualifying. Wawrinka hasn’t participated in qualifying at any major tournament since 2005.
Which players will advance? Here’s everything you need to know about the 2024 US Open Qualifying Tournament.
In local time, the qualifying tournament starts on Aug. 19 and finishes on Aug. 22.
The Nine Network is Australia’s official broadcast partner for the US Open in 2024, but will not broadcast qualifying.
However, the tournament is currently not listed on free-to-air TV guides.
Nine will be juggling multiple key events, with the NRL and Paralympic Games crossing over with the US Open.
