The Andaz Gold Coast, slated to open in mid-2025, will mark the brand’s debut in the Pacific region. The Destination Gold Coast Consortium is a joint venture led by The Star Entertainment Group, alongside partners Far East Consortium and Chow Tai Fook Enterprises.

The resort will be a key part of The Star Gold Coast’s integrated resort development, located on Broadbeach Island featuring 202 guest rooms and suites, an expansive outdoor pool deck, a beach club and multiple dining outlets.

“We are thrilled to announce plans to bring the Andaz brand to Australia’s premier resort destination in collaboration with The Star Gold Coast,” Hyatt’s APAC group president David Udell said.

“Hyatt has had a brand presence in Australia for over 40 years, and we are excited to expand our luxury, lifestyle and leisure offerings into sought-after destinations like the Gold Coast. This resort will complement our current portfolio of 10 hotels under five distinct brands in Australia, including Park Hyatt, Grand Hyatt, Hyatt Regency, Hyatt Centric and Hyatt Place.”

Steven McPharlin, general manager Hotels at The Star Gold Coast, said: “We are delighted to welcome Andaz Gold Coast to our world-class tourism and entertainment precinct.”

“As part of The Star Gold Coast’s AU$2 billion masterplan, we are proud to continue our investment in this dynamic city while also providing new employment opportunities alongside vibrant hospitality experiences.”

The Andaz brand, known for its focus on self-expression and imaginative travel, boasts nearly 30 properties in major cities like Tokyo, New York, and Singapore. The Gold Coast location will embrace this ethos, offering guests experiences inspired by the natural beauty of the region.

The Gold Coast continues to be a premier destination, with more than four million domestic visitors last year. As international tourism rebounds, the region is set to benefit from the arrival of this prestigious new hotel.
