An international arrest warrant has reportedly been issued for former Wallabies captain Rocky Elsom over his conduct as president of French rugby union club Narbonne in 2015 and 2016.
AFP and sports daily L’Equipe were among French media outlets reporting Elsom, 41, was found guilty of forgery, use of forgery and misuse of corporate assets by a Narbonne court on Friday, local time.
Elsom, a blindside flanker, played 75 Tests for the Wallabies between 2005 and 2011.
He was appointed Wallabies captain in 2009 and held the position until shortly before the 2011 Rugby World Cup.
His final appearance for the Wallabies was their 20-6 Rugby World Cup semifinal loss to the All Blacks in Auckland.
Elsom played for the Waratahs across two stints (2003-08 and 2012) and also spent two seasons with the ACT Brumbies (2010-2011).
He also enjoyed a successful spell with Irish province Leinster during his playing career.
