Is Luke Donald trying to intimidate Team USA with this Ryder Cup-related Halloween costume? – Australian Golf Digest

You can count on three things in this world: Death, taxes, and Luke Donald’s family having an amazing Halloween costume.

And the Donalds are up to their old tricks (or treats) this year. Have a look at Luke as King Kong (At least, we think that’s Luke under that fur) and the rest of the fam dressing up in a New York-themed costume:

What a great group effort. Even their dog has been converted to a hot dog. Brilliant.

But is this supposed to be some sort of intimidating message from the European Ryder Cup captain in regards to the event being held at Bethpage Black next fall? Is Luke suggesting that King Kong is coming from foreign lands to destroy New York?

Probably not. For one thing, King Kong does some damage in the original movie, but winds up dying in the end. For another, here was a look at what the Donalds wore for Halloween a year out from the 2023 Ryder Cup in Rome:

Again, nailed it. And Luke wound up leading Europe to victory in Italy, so why not run it back Big Apple style?
