The rollercoaster day for Jamie Kah has been one to remember.
The star jockey won a race in tribute to her mentor Col McKenna, before copping a whack to the face and suffering a broken nose.
Kah would then take out the Derby aboard Goldrush Guru, but it has now been revealed she has pleaded guilty to careless riding in Race 2 and will likely face a ban.
“She’s absolutely riding the crest of a wave,” Michelle Payne said on Nine.
“She will have to go back to the steward’s room at the conclusion of today’s meeting to find out what her suspension will be.
“Unfortunately, it means she will miss one of the days of the Melbourne Cup Carnival.
“In the moment now, she’s a Penfolds Victoria Derby winner and had a great day. Such a memorable day with another winner, a special winner earlier.”
