Australia Fashion Week India (AFWI), organised by Bollywood actor Vishwajeet Pradhan and his wife Sonalika Pradhan through Meilleur Events, is set to take place in Mumbai in February 2025. The three-day event will bring together leading designers from India and Australia, featuring fashion shows, gala nights and an exclusive awards ceremony.
AFWI aims to foster cross-border collaborations in fashion and business by connecting international buyers, fashion houses and retailers. A standout feature of the event will be a special segment spotlighting indigenous designers, performers and models from both nations, with the Australian Aboriginal Artists brand ‘Better World Arts’ opening the show.
Speaking about the event, Vishwajeet Pradhan emphasised its goal to promote cultural and business exchanges between India and Australia, providing a platform for designers to showcase their creations to global audiences. Sonalika Pradhan highlighted AFWI as a space for collaboration, learning and innovation, offering international exposure and business opportunities for designers.
AFWI will also introduce initiatives such as the Meilleur Events Mentorship Program to help emerging designers build sustainable businesses and a student exchange program to encourage cross-cultural learning in fashion.
