Three Australian-trained gallopers will take on world-class fields at the LONGINES Hong Kong International Races (HKIR) on December 8, 2024, in what promises to be one of the year’s most exciting international events.

Without A Fight, the dual Caulfield and Melbourne Cup winner, will contest the Hong Kong Vase (2400m) against elite competitors like Dubai Honour and Luxembourg.

Queensland’s Antino will line up in the Hong Kong Mile (1600m), facing rivals with Australian form lines, including Lazzat (Golden Eagle runner-up) and Docklands (Cox Plate and Champions Stakes runner).

In the Hong Kong Sprint (1200m), Ciaron Maher’s Recommendation will make his Hong Kong debut, challenging local standout Ka Ying Rising.

Australian jockeys Damian Lane, Blake Shinn, and Mark Zahra will also feature, adding to the international representation.

“The LONGINES Hong Kong International Races are one of the most important racing events on the global calendar,” said Andrew Harding, HKJC Executive Director of Racing.

“We look forward to hosting a decorated line-up from many corners of the globe.”
