Srixon UltiSoft balls: What you need to know – Australian Golf Digest

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW: Engineered to provide golfers with unparalleled feel and softness, Srixon today announced the Australian launch of the fifth generation of its UltiSoft golf ball. As the lowest compression ball in Srixon’s extensive line-up, UltiSoft offers players an excellent balance of feel and playability, with dynamic power off the tee and softer feel around the greens.

PRICE & AVAILABILITY: $37.95 per dozen. UltiSoft balls are available across Australia from today.

2 Cool Things

1. All feel, all distance. UltiSoft’s excellent performance stems from Srixon’s proven FastLayer Core technology. This unique construction, transitioning from a soft centre to a firm outer edge, optimises energy transfer for greater distance off the tee while maintaining the signature softness upon impact.

“UltiSoft is an essential part of our Srixon line-up as we continue to see a growing interest for lower-compression golf balls among avid golfers,” said Casey Shultz, senior product manager at Srixon. “UltiSoft’s feel is going to be one of the first things a player notices, but lower-compression balls offer a lot of control with straighter ball flights and better forgiveness on mishits too.”

UltiSoft’s durable and responsive cover enhances its performance around the greens. The soft, thin cover offers exceptional feel on all pitches, chips, and putts while also increasing spin for complete control.

2. Flight performance. In addition to its exceptional feel, UltiSoft features Srixon’s signature 338 Speed Dimple Pattern. The Speed Dimple design enhances flight performance with drivers, woods and irons, reducing drag at launch and increasing lift for maximum distance and improved performance even in tough conditions.

Because of a lower drag co-efficient, the ball is able to cut through the air with less resistance for greater speed and maintain a penetrating launch. Meanwhile, the higher lift co-efficient pushes up on the ball throughout its trajectory and slows its fall, forcing it to stay in the air longer for maximised distance.
