The Australian Open, the nation’s most prestigious golf tournament, has arrived.
Melbourne is hosting the 2024 event, with action taking place across two courses.
Some of the nation’s best male and female golfers — including Cameron Smith, Marc Leishman, Hannah Green and siblings Minjee and Min Woo Lee — headline the local talent at the four-day competition.

This year’s edition of the Australian Open will begin on Thursday, November 28 and conclude on Sunday, December 1.
In 2024, the Australian Open is being held at two venues — Kingston Heath Golf Club and Victoria Golf Club.
Both courses are located in the Melbourne Sandbelt region.
Men and women will play across both courses on Thursday and Friday, before playing exclusively at Kingston Heath on Saturday and Sunday.
Foxtel and the Nine Network hold the broadcast rights for this year’s tournament.
The action from all four days will be shown on Fox Sports 503. On free-to-air television, it will be split across 9Gem (Thursday and Friday) and Channel 9 (Saturday and Sunday).

A total of 240 players (156 men and 84 women) are competing in this year’s event.
Smith and Lee headline the Australian men’s player pool, which also includes notable golfers such as Leishman, Cameron Davis and Lucas Herbert.
Green and Lee are two of the notable homegrown talents in action in the women’s draw and will be joined by Grace Kim and Steph Kyriacou.
Chile’s Joaquin Niemann is the reigning men’s champion, while South Africa’s Ashleigh Buhai will look to defend her women’s title.

The action at Victoria will begin at 6:55 am AEDT on Thursday, while it will tee off at Kingston Heath at 7:00 am AEDT.
Both the men’s and women’s events are played over 72 holes, with cuts after 36 holes.
A minimum total of AU$3.4 million of prize money is on offer at this year’s tournament, which is equivalent to the 2023 purse.
Tickets are still available for all four days, with general admission and premium options on offer.
Adult single-day passes are priced at $36.
Children and students aged 17 and under will be admitted for free during the event.
