Kurtis Patterson continued to push his case for a Test recall, scoring a century for NSW in their Sheffield Shield clash against Western Australia.
The former Australian batter, who played two games in the baggy green in 2019 and scored a century, has returned to form this season for the Blues.
Patterson had reeled off a stack of scores in the lead-up to this weekend’s fixture, but was unable to reach triple-figures.

That all ended on Sunday when the 31-year-old flicked a ball to the leg-side to bring up a century for the first time in 769 days.
Patterson’s emotions spilled over as he celebrated the milestone, which could bring him closer to an unlikely spot in the Aussie line-up later this summer.
He remains unbeaten on 167 as his side go into day four with a 252-run lead.
Young gun Sam Konstas (88) missed out on a chance to bring up his fourth ton of the season, but looked solid in the middle once again, as he edges closer to a Test debut.
Elsewhere in the competition, the forgotten man of Australian cricket Jason Sangha returned to form with scores of 151 and 61, while Queensland reeled off a thrilling win over Victoria thanks to a man-of-the-match performance from Mark Steketee.
