ICC Sydney wins Venue Team of the Year and Sustainability Initiative awards, highlighting excellence in innovation and community impact.
In a national business events industry triumph, International Convention Centre Sydney (ICC Sydney), managed by ASM Global, was lauded with a raft of accolades—announced at the Australian Business Events Association (ABEA) inaugural awards dinner that took place at ICC Sydney.
As the crowned Venue Team of the Year, ICC Sydney’s team was recognised for its commitment to excellence and employee engagement as they hosted 668 events, welcomed 1.7 million attendees and developed innovative event experiences during the qualifying period. ICC Sydney’s RESPECT for People, Place and Planet and commitment to creating inclusive, sustainable events and a lasting social and environmental legacy was rewarded with the Sustainability Initiative – Social and Cultural award. Three ICC Sydney star talents, Rita Nassar, Yaroslav Lytvynenko and Paul Abanico celebrated their graduation from the ABEA Emerging Leaders Leading Well program.
ICC Sydney CEO, Adam Mather-Brown praised the professionalism of the team behind the accolades saying, “I’m proud of our achievements—particularly our commitment to creating innovative event experiences that make a difference for our clients, delegates and our community.
