A familiar face is coming back to Golf Channel in 2025 – Australian Golf Digest

Fourteen years after helping launch Golf Channel’s first morning program, Gary Williams will be back in the early a.m. slot in 2025. The network announced Thursday that Williams will host a new one-hour show, “5 Clubs on Golf Channel,” starting Jan. 6.

“As a consumer of sports radio and television and for more than 20 years, and as a host of shows originating in the morning, I have immense appreciation for being in a position to initiate and drive the daily conversation in the game of golf,” Williams said in a press release. “We aspire to make 5 Clubs on Golf Channel the golf industry’s morning show. The way to achieve that is by having a wide lens on the interests of everyone who invests time into the game of golf. The daily pursuit of that objective is supremely motivating to me.”

Williams, who started in the golf industry as a club professional with a stop at Seminole Golf Club before becoming a broadcaster, was one of the original hosts of Golf Channel’s “Morning Drive” when it debuted in 2011 and worked on the show all the way until its sign off in 2020. He subsequently helped found 5 Clubs in 2021, where he remained a leading voice in the game while hosting programs on SiriusXM radio and his own podcast.

“5 Clubs on Golf Channel” will air 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. Monday through Wednesday with Williams being joining by various guests and analysts, including Golf Channel regulars Johnson Wagner and Brendan De Jonge, Jay Bilas, Gil Hanse and Taylor Zarzour. The network said that additional details about Golf Channel morning programming in 2025.
