NFL action is being delivered as a late Christmas present to Australian football fans on Boxing Day.
Two headline clashes will usher in Boxing Day Down Under as the NFL’s three-year deal with the streaming giant kicks into overdrive during the festive period.
Reigning Super Bowl champions Kansas City travel to Pittsburgh to take on the Steelers in the first of a double-header, before attention then switches to Houston where the Texans will clash with the Baltimore Ravens.
The first NFL game hosted on Xmas Day in America occurred in 1971, before being brought back on a semi-regular basis in the late 80’s.
In total, the NFL has staged 30 Christmas contests to date as part of a long-standing holiday tradition.

Patrick Mahomes has led his Chiefs to an imposing 14-1 record on their way to topping the standings in the AFC West.
They’ve been perfect on home soil, with their only defeat coming on the road against the Buffalo Bills over a month ago.
The Steelers are next up for them with Mike Tomlin’s side sitting pretty at the top of their division in the AFC North along with Baltimore.
Pittsburgh have only lost one game at Acrisure Stadium all season and will be hoping home advantage helps them to overcome the reigning champs.
The build-up kicks off at 3:00am AEDT on Thursday, before the game gets underway at 5:00am AEDT.

The blockbuster match will conclude another slate of fixtures on Christmas Day in the states, which has become a regular festive staple since 2020.
The pre-game action will start at 8:00am AEDT following the conclusion of the Chiefs and Steelers contest.
