Sydney and Brisbane are undergoing their final preparations ahead of this year’s AFL grand final.
The MCG spectacle is set for Saturday afternoon, with millions around the nation expected to tune in.

AFL grand final: Free-to-air TV guide
The 2024 AFL grand final will be shown live, free and exclusive on Channel 7.
Viewers will have more than 12 hours of coverage to enjoy on Saturday, starting with a special edition of Weekend Sunrise at 7:00 am AEST.
‘Brunch’ and ‘countdown’ programs will follow as the network builds up to the pre-game show.
The official game broadcast will begin at 2:00 pm AEST, half an hour before the first bounce.
As it stands, the post-match presentation is scheduled for 5:00 pm AEST, before Channel 7 conclude their coverage with analysis and panel review from 6:00 pm AEST.
All programs will be available on Channel 7 except for the post-match coverage, which will move to 7mate in every major city but Perth.
