ARA Australian Cycling Team selected for 2025 UCI CX Worlds | ARA Australian Cycling Team

Three riders have been selected to represent the ARA Australian Cycling Team at the 2025 UCI Cyclo-cross World Championships in Liévin, France.

Max Hobson, Tristan Nash, and Campbell McConnell were announced by the AusCycling National Selection Panel to compete at the world championships from January 31 – February 2, 2025.

Victorian McConnell made his debut at the world championships earlier this year where he finished 69th in the junior men field, and  is the 2024 junior national CX champion after claiming  victory at Ballarat in August.

Unfortunately, due to a slower than expected recovery from a broken wrist, West Australian Nash has withdrawn from the team.

Hobson, the current elite men’s national champion, has also declined his selection to concentrate on road racing over the Australian summer.

The 2025 UCI Cyclo-Cross World Championships are set to be an exciting and highly competitive event, with riders from all corners of the globe vying for the coveted rainbow jersey.

The defending Elite men’s and women’s champions are Mathieu van der Poel (NED) and Fem van Empel (NED) respectively.

The team was selected according to the AusCycling selection policy.
