Australian cricket great Jason Gillespie will coach against the Aussies next month after Pakistan’s white ball coach quit suddenly.
Gary Kirsten will not guide Pakistan against Australia in the upcoming ODI series after quitting the role on Monday.
Kirsten had only held the top job for just over six months.

It has been reported there was an internal rift between Kirsten, Test coach Gillespie and the PCB following the board’s decision to exclude the coaches from having any say in squad selections.
Gillespie last week confirmed he had been sidelined from selection decisions.
Gillespie has not steered clear of expressing his beliefs on the board’s recent decision, declaring his title to be “a match-day analyst” rather than a coach.
He went on to say that his job with the team “wasn’t what I signed up for.”
Kirsten, a South African, has yet to make a public statement on his departure.
Kirsten failed to coach the Pakistan team in a single ODI, the format in which he previously had the most success.
His first appearance with the Pakistan team was at the men’s ICC T20 World Cup, where the side bowed out early after recording defeats to India and the USA.
The PCB confirmed in a statement that Gillespie will take over as coach for the Australian tour which begins on Monday in Melbourne.
Gillespie, 49, played 71 Test matches and 97 one-day games for Australia as a fast bowler.
