Australian tennis legend Pat Rafter stole the show at the annual Big Freeze ahead of the King’s Birthday blockbuster between Collingwood and Melbourne at the MCG.
Now in its 10th year, another nine identities from the sporting world took the icy plunge as AFL icon Neale Daniher, the driving force behind the initiative, watched on.

There was a rock star theme to this year’s edition and it was a case of saving the best until last with Rafter taking the cake.
The two-time grand slam champion went down as AC/DC rocker Brian Johnson and had a sense of theatre when he emerged from the crowd to Thunderstruck.
AFLW icon and Channel 7 commentator Erin Phillips was a spitting image of pop star Pink, while James Brayshaw embraced his role as Axl Rose.

The West Coast great went down as reggae legend Bob Marley before revealing the iconic Jamaican bobsled uniform from Cool Runnings.
Naitanui even produced a lucky egg from his pocket, just like the movie, after taking the plunge.
“What Danners has done is remarkable. He is an inspiration to all and ultimate trooper. I’m so happy he invited me down.”
The Olympic gold medallist and Channel 7 presenter went down as pop icon Madonna.
“It is for a good cause and I’m happy to be here. Thank you to everyone for turning up. Loving seeing the sea of blue beanies.”
The Channel 7 commentator went down as Axl Rose, the frontman of rock band Guns N’ Roses.
James was originally going to do with nephew Angus as Slash, but he unfortunately pulled out.
“I knew it was going to be cold. You never told me it would be that bad.”
The Aussie cricket great went down as Tina Turner and took the plunge with ease.
“Huge honour to be asked. An incredible event. Hopefully everyone keeps getting behind it.”
The Geelong legend and Channel 7 commentator went down as Robbie Williams, who rocked the MCG ahead of the 2022 grand final, which was Selwood’s last AFL game.
“18 months ago, he rocked this place and it’s good to be back.”

The Olympic gold medallist went down as Midnight Oil frontman Peter Garrett and even rolled out some of the Aussie’s iconic dance moves when he emerged from the icy waters.
“Love Midnight Oil. I thought I’d test out potentially my future with the bald head and how the hair line goes.”
“Great to be part of it.”
The Richmond legend went down as The Killers frontman Brandon Flowers in an ode to his iconic moment with the rock group after the 2017 AFL grand final.
Riewoldt, who called himself Mr Brightslide, had to jump back in the pool after losing his wig in the slide.
“For me personally, I’ve got friends fighting the battle with loved ones, which is important but the more we talk about it the more we express how we feel about it, the more money we donate and obviously raise gets us closer to where we want to get to, a cure.”
The AFLW icon and Channel 7 commentator went down as pop star P!nk and absolutely nailed her costume.
Channel 7 host Bec Maddern said: “You are the best lookalike today. I reckon you secretly want to be P!nk.”
Phillips said: “I do. It’s no secret. I love P!nk. This is one and only opportunity to do it, so just unbelievably honoured to be part of it.”

Following the King’s Birthday clash, Seven will celebrate a decade of triumphs and laughter with the hour-long special 10 Years of The Big Freeze on Channel 7 and 7plus from 9.15pm AEST.
From epic costumes to hilarious belly flops, 10 Years of The Big Freeze will roll out the red carpet for a group of Australia’s biggest stars and most iconic sliders including 7NEWS Melbourne’s Tim Watson and Rebecca Maddern, Garry Lyon, Rhonda Burchmore, Luke Darcy, Chris Fagan, Brian Taylor and many more.
Neale Daniher, the driving force behind FightMND, will also share his reflections on the journey so far, the incredible support from the community, and his ongoing commitment to finding a cure for MND, alongside his daughter and FightMND Campaign Director, Bec, and his wife Jan.
