Aussies hunting 28-year history in tennis final; rowing medals up for grabs — LIVE

Australia’s medal haul looks set to continue on day eight of the Paris Olympics.

Three of Saturday’s rowing finals will feature Australians, while the Dolphins are tipped to capture multiple medals in the pool on Sunday morning AEST.

Pending weather, sailor Grae Morris will finally get to fight for gold in the men’s windsurfing, while surfer Jack Robinson will take on Brazil’s Gabriel Medina in the men’s surfing semi-finals.

Meanwhile, a historic gold medal is on the line when Australian tennis stars Matthew Ebden and John Peers face America in the men’s doubles final at Roland Garros. Australia has not won a tennis event at the Olympics since 1996.

The Gangurrus will be pushing for a spot in the women’s 3×3 basketball semi-finals when they take on hosts France, while the Hockeyroos face Spain in the women’s hockey.

Elsewhere there’s Australians competing in the golf, equestrian, canoe slalom, beach volleyball, boxing, water polo, athletics and cycling.
