Australian captain Pat Cummins has confirmed his line-up for the second Test against India, with all-rounder Mitchell Marsh passed fit to play.
After being blown out of the water in Perth, the hosts have been forced into one change after Josh Hazlewood was ruled out due to a side strain.
In his absence, Victorian seamer Scott Boland will wear the baggy green for the first time since last year’s Ashes series for the pink-ball fixture at Adelaide Oval.

“Scotty Boland in for Hazlewood is the only change,” Cummins said on Thursday.
“Traditionally here, there is normally a little bit of nip, which obviously suits Scotty quite well. All of last summer he was geared up to go, but no one fell over.
“It feels like it’s been quite a while [since Boland has played]. As a captain, it’s pretty awesome to have someone like Scotty come straight in. You know he can bowl a huge amount of overs if needed, he is super consistent and has performed at this level.”
The other big talking point throughout the lead-up to Adelaide was surrounding Marsh’s fitness and whether he would be able to bowl.
However, in the best indication yet, Cummins revealed the Allan Border Medallist would warm up and has been given the all-clear by the Aussie medical staff.
“Yep – made the call with the medical team over the last couple of days to give him another couple of days off bowling,” the skipper said.
“I expect him to warm up and if required, he will bowl. I’m guessing at some point, he will be required. It’s not a huge concern, you would probably need to speak to the physio.
“He will warm up tomorrow … prioritise his overs for the game instead of in the nets.”
Australia will head into the clash 1-0 down in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy and there has been plenty made of the side’s performance in the series opener.
Cummins is confident his side can bounce back, but acknowledged the external noise that has dominated the headlines.
“When things don’t go right, there’s enough commentators that will support you and then some that will of course try and create some headlines,” he said.
“We try not to take too much notice of it, we go about our things and concentrate about playing our own way. I think in any Test match there is pressure, but when you’re down there’s a little bit more – especially when you’re at home.
“We’ve been in similar situations, whether it’s World Cups or other series, in must-win situations. We know that we weren’t at our best and have a few things to work on.”
