A massive month of international basketball arrives LIVE on ESPN, as the Australian Boomers and USA Dream Team finalise preparations for the 2024 Paris Olympics, including a blockbuster clash between the two medal contenders in Abu Dhabi.

Fresh from their BALLIN 24’ home series against China, the Australian Boomers continue the build towards the Olympic Games, with crucial clashes against the United States Dream Team and Serbia.

After underwhelming at the FIBA World Cup last year, the pressure is on the United States to perform and continue the Olympic basketball dominance.

The USA Men’s team are aiming for a fifth consecutive gold medal and 17th overall.

Tuesday July 16 will see the United States Dream Team renew their rivalry with the Australian Boomers, live on ESPN at 1am AEST.

The Boomers defeated the Dream Team 91-83 last time they met, prior to the Tokyo Olympics, but the United States have claimed six of the last eight meetings between the two nations.

The star-studded Dream Team roster includes NBA and Olympic champions, MVP’s and multiple-time NBA All-Stars like LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Steph Curry, Joel Embiid, Jayson Tatum, Devin Booker, Anthony Davis, Tyrese Haliburton, Anthony Edwards, Bam Adebayo, Kawhi Leonard and Jrue Holiday.

Boomers coach Brian Goorjian trimmed his Australian squad following recent matches against China in Melbourne. NBA stars Josh Giddey, Josh Green, Dante Exum, Patty Mills, Joe Ingles and Dyson Daniels highlight the available talent the Tokyo 2020 bronze medalists can call upon.

Australia then backup on Wednesday July 17, as they face off against Serbia LIVE at 1am AEST on ESPN.

These international matches will be the first ever held in the United Arab Emirates.

The Dream Team will begin their Olympic preparations with a test against neighbours Canada, themselves stacked with NBA talent, on Thursday July 11, live at 12.30pm AEST.

The USA will then play a further three matches before heading to Paris, facing Serbia (1am AEST), South Sudan (5am AEST) and Germany (5am AEST) – all live on ESPN.

United States Women’s team will also be in action live on ESPN, as they battle Germany at 5am AEST on Monday July 22.

The Home for Hoops – ESPN – continues its commitment to basketball with a smorgasbord of hoops action including the WNBA All-Star game, NBA Summer League and a packed schedule of FIBA International action across July.
