The Greatest men’s player of all-time, Novak Djokovic, will return to Melbourne, Australia in hopes of capturing his 11th title at the prestigious event.
Recently appointing Andy Murray as his new coach for 2025, Djokovic will have his work cut out for him after a 2024 season which featured zero Tour level titles.
Completing his tennis collection with a victory at the Olympic Games, Djokovic will not only have to get by the likes of Sinner, but also four-time Major winner Carlos Alcaraz, three-time Australian Open finalist Daniil Medvedev and two-time Major finalist and world No. 2 Alexander Zverev.
On the women’s side, Sabalenka’s chances at the three-peat are favourable. The Belarusian, who now owns three Major titles, won both the Australian and US Opens in 2024 The 26-year-old remains the best hard-court player in the world and will have to fend off a competitive field, which includes Iga Swiatek, Coco Gauff, Jasmine Paolini, Qinwen Zheng, Elena Rybakina and Jessica Pegula.
