Australian Open 2025 qualifying entry lists released

The women’s entry list features six local hopes – Kimberly Birrell, Arina Rodionova, Priscilla Hon, Taylah Preston, Destanee Aiava and Maddison Inglis – plus a further seven wildcards in Astra Sharma, Tina Smith, Petra Hule, Melisa Ercan, Elena Micic, Lizette Cabrera and Jamie Fourlis.

This means 24 Australian players are set to compete in AO 2025 qualifying.

Resurgent Italian Sara Errani, a former world No.5, her compatriot Martina Trevisan – the 2022 Roland Garros semifinalist – and nine-time major doubles champion Kristina Mladenovic will also compete in qualifying, as will former top-20 players Petra Martic and Ana Konjuh.

Qualifying wildcards have also been awarded to Australian Open 2024 junior singles champions Rei Sakamoto of Japan and Slovakia’s Renata Jamrichova.
