Australian Open and ABC extend audio partnership

The Australian Open has announced a five-year agreement with ABC Sport for audio rights at AO 2025.

The agreement continues the partnership formed in 2024 which brought all the highlights from Australia’s Grand Slam to audiences live and ad free across the ABC local radio network and ABC listen.

“The ABC has been a fantastic partner of the Australian Open and we are delighted to extend and expand our collaboration,” Tennis Australia’s Head of Media Business Development John Garcia said.

“Together we look forward to connecting with an even wider fan base across multiple platforms and bringing all the on-court action and human stories to ABC listeners.”

In 2025, the ABC’s roster of expert commentators, including Corbin Middlemas, Andrew Moore, Quentin Hull, Ben Cameron, Lauren Bordin and Catherine Murphy, will be joined by John Alexander and Roger Rasheed to provide play by play commentary of the big matches, with a focus on Australian players across the draw, plus all the big finals.
