Australian Open prize money 2025: Winnings breakdown for AO singles, doubles tennis players by round | Sporting News Australia

Prize money at the Australian Open continues to grow, and this year’s tournament is no exception.

For 2025, the overall prize pool has been set at $96.5 million – an 11.56 per cent rise on last year’s sum.

Notably, winnings have increased for every round, including qualifying.

Those who reach the opening round of the singles main draw will earn at least $132,000, with a second-round berth seeing players take home $200,000.

There is also some serious cash to be earned in the latter stages of the event. 

Semi-finalists will receive $1.1 million, while the men’s and women’s singles champions are in line for a whopping $3.5 million payday – a tournament record.
