Australian fashion designer Melanie Greensmith and her long-time rock star partner Mark McEntee have purchased a luxurious apartment in Perth for $3.5million.
The power couple recently finalised the purchase of the stunning two-bedroom, two-bathroom beachside apartment located in the upmarket suburb of Cottesloe.
The incredible property features cutting-edge modern architecture, including large spacious rooms, high ceilings and a huge verandah overlooking the ocean.
McEntee, who was the guitarist in legendary Australian rock band Divinyls opposite Chrissy Amphlett, admitted they were thrilled at snapping up such a great property.
‘I wouldn’t want to move anywhere else except the beach. It’s a gas, it’s an absolute gas,’ he told Perth Now.
Greensmith added she adored the laidback vibe of the desirable beachside area.

‘It has that beach feeling I remember from growing up in Scarborough, even though Cottesloe has become tres chic. It is very relaxed and there are lot of surfies hanging about.’
Greensmith founded fashion brand Wheels & Dollbaby in 1987 and marketed the fashion brand to a retro ‘rock and roll’ audience.
Her lengthy list of celebrity clients include The Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger, model Jerry Hall and late singer Amy Winehouse.
Meanwhile, McEntee was a founding member of Aussie band Divinyls, and performed on stages across the world with the band’s unique singer Chrissy Amphlett.
The band had a number one song in Australia in 1990 with their cheeky single I Touch Myself.
Greensmith has had a keen interest in property investment for a long time and in January 2023 sold her spectacular flat in Sydney‘s eastern suburbs for a reported $11million.
The Wheels & Dollbaby founder’s two-bedroom ground-floor sprawl was located in the historic Del Rio apartments at Elizabeth Bay.
Greensmith, 62, bought the property with her partner Mark McEntee, 69, in 2013 for $4.25million, reports The Daily Telegraph.

Built in 1922 on Sydney’s southern harbour foreshore, the Del Rio four-story tower block offers panoramic water views.
Other highlights include ready access to the harbour, a swimming pool, and an expansive park and gardens.
Greensmith’s apartment, which once featured in Vogue, boasts many original features.
These include French plantation shutters and high ceilings.
A collector of antiques, Greensmith at one time filled the home with vintage furniture and fittings, including a gorgeous 18th century marble fireplace.
Previous owners include celebrity caterer Charles Wilkins, who bought the property in 2001 for $1.96million.
Wilkins later hired famed architect Garth Barnett to convert the three-bedroom pad into a two-bedroom apartment.
Greensmith and McEntee are now living between Perth and London, where they own a home in the ritzy Mayfair precinct.
