The ASC is working with researchers from Federation University who have developed the surveys – to better understand the costs involved for both clubs and participants.

There are two surveys available:

Survey One is for all participants that engage in sport. This can be any age however parents or guardians will be asked to complete the survey on behalf of participants aged 12 and under.

Survey Two is for clubs and organisations to understand how much it costs to deliver your sport.

Each survey takes 15 minutes to complete and will close at 5pm on Tuesday 31 December 2024. 

How will the results be used? 

The results will be made into a report, academic publications, industry forums, and news articles; these documents will not include information that can identify you. If you would like to see the report, please provide your email address to the researcher. 

The information may be used to make recommendations to The Australian Sports Commission to inform their sport policies and strategies to minimise the cost to deliver and play sport.
