Star gloveman Josh Inglis headlines a trio of inclusions for WA’s One-Day Cup match against Queensland at the WACA Ground on Sunday.

Inglis and fellow additions Cooper Connolly and Mahli Beardman missed the first leg of ODC games in Sydney while touring England with Australia’s One-Day International squad.

Dashing right-hander Inglis was in sublime touch throughout this week’s season-opening Sheffield Shield match, taking down a stacked Queensland bowling attack during brisk knocks of 122 and 48.

Connolly proved effective in the middle order, tallying of 79 and 30 not out the month after making his T20I and ODI debuts versus Scotland and England, respectively.

Nineteen-year-old Beardman, meanwhile, is already among WA’s fastest bowlers, capable of clocking speeds exceeding 140km/h.

Nationally contracted speedster Lance Morris sustained a minor quad injury at training and will push to available for the One-Day Cup fixture against Tasmania at the WACA Ground on 25 October.

Jason Behrendorff (National Cricket League, Texas), Matt Kelly (managed), Keaton Critchell (omitted) and Baxter Holt (omitted) also make way from the squad.

Three-time reigning champions WA are targeting their first win of the season after tight losses to NSW (eight runs) and South Australia (two runs).

Sunday’s match begins at 10AM, WA time, and will be broadcast live on Kayo and Cricket.com.au.
