Australian cricket team met the Ugandan players for the first time on Sunday as both teams are staying in the same in the hotel in Port of Spain.
Both the teams, which are gearing up for their first matches in the T20 World Cup, shared a memorable interaction with each other.
During their interaction, Australia’s captain Mitchell Marsh was honoured with Uganda’s playing shirt. He also posed for photos with Australia’s star batter David Warner while wearing the shirt.
They mingled with the Ugandan team and signed the shirts.
“That was a really special moment,” Marsh told reporters in Barbados.
“It’s things like that – it’s not just about the cricket throughout these World Cups. It’s about opportunity and teams having earnt the right to be here,” he added.
Meanwhile, the Aussies are all geared up for their first T20 World Cup match against Oman on Thursday, June 6, in Barbados.
However, their squad is still not complete with only nine players available for the two warm-up matches.

However, they were defeated by West Indies in their second warm-up match on May 30.
