Australia will be without most of its biggest Test stars for the three-match T20 series against Pakistan.
While Marnus Labuschagne, Steve Smith, Josh Hazlewood, Mitchell Starc and Pat Cummins have all been named in the squad for the one-day series that starts next week, all will skip the T20 matches to prepare for the Test summer against India.
“This group of players have all represented Australia in T20 cricket, so we look forward to them continuing to enhance their international experience throughout this series,” chair of selectors George Bailey said of the squad named.
“We are excited by the mix of experience combined with those closer to the start of their international journeys.”
The three one-dayers will be played over a week from November 4-10, before the three-match T20 series is played over five days from November 14-18.
The first Test of the Border-Gavaskar trophy starts on November 22 in Perth.
