Paralympics Australia has announced Cameron Murray as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Murray, who has extensive experience in leadership roles within sports organisations, succeeds Catherine Clark, whose sudden departure earlier in November raised questions about the organisation’s management.

With a career spanning various leadership positions in Australian sport, Murray has built a strong reputation for driving organisational growth and strategic development. Prior to his appointment, he held a Director role at the Australian Rugby League (ARL), where he played a key part in strengthening the sport’s governance and enhancing its commercial partnerships. His expertise in sports administration, coupled with his deep understanding of athlete needs and stakeholder relations, positions him well to lead Paralympics Australia into its next phase of growth and success.

Murray’s appointment also comes at a time when the Paralympic sector is seeking greater recognition in the sporting landscape.
