Can a proven PGA Tour winner open up the golf market for this trendy apparel brand? Max Homa and Lululemon are betting on it – Australian Golf Digest

Max Homa believes in the connection between dressing well and playing good golf. There’s actually a term for it, “enclothed cognition,” which is the notion that the clothing you wear can impact your psychological process. The testing of the theory is not extensive, but to put it into golf terms, if you dress like a pro who’s going to win majors, you might be more likely to play like a pro who’s going to win majors. Homa is leaning into that mentality in 2025, as he starts the year as a newly minted ambassador for trendy apparel brand Lululemon—if you know any teenage girls, you’ve heard of Lulu. He joins Min Woo Lee as the only two golfers on Lululemon’s roster.

Homa’s style is self-described as “simple and sharp,” per Lululemon’s announcement of the partnership. That makes Lululemon a perfect fit. Lululemon’s golf line is classic in many ways, with solid-colored polos and quality pants and shorts focused on fit. Yet it’s modern, with athleticism infused throughout the line. Within the line, you’ll find fabrics that breathe as you sweat and move with you as you play. There’s the option to play it safer with staple colorways but also the potential to show more personality with pops of color.

Homa said in the announcement that he’s been a fan of the popular brand for a while now, and that Lululemon is what he’s been wearing to workout in and for leisure wear. Now, he’s extending that to the golf course. The ABC pant is one of his favorites, which features Elastomultiester, a synthetic fiber that makes the pants elastic, cooling and durable. Think, polyester with more elasticity. The pant has five pockets, so there’s plenty of space to store your scorecard, glove, tees and ball.

The Lululemon line certainly checks the box for functionality on the golf course, and for Homa, it’s also a confidence booster.

“I subscribe to the old saying look good, feel good, play good. When I feel good, it definitely influences how I play,” he said in Lululemon’s announcement of the partnership.

Whether you believe in enclothed cognition or not, taking advantage of ways to feel good on the golf course can’t be a bad thing.
