Coco Gauff and Taylor Fritz confirm tournament they are both planning to play before Australian Open starts

The Australian Open is rapidly approaching, with top stars such as Coco Gauff and Taylor Fritz undoubtedly aiming to go far.

Gauff won the China Open in Beijing earlier this month, with Fritz having lost the US Open final in New York last month.

The American duo are in fine form at this stage of the season, but will already have one eye on the first Grand Slam of 2025.

But there is plenty of men’s and women’s tennis left to play in 2024, with the year-end finals yet to take place.

Gauff has qualified for the WTA Finals Riyadh, while Fritz is currently fifth place in the Race to Turin standings.

They have been drawn into six groups for the 2025 United Cup, with Greece and Spain joining the USA and Canada in Perth.
