Aussie larrikin Travis Head had fans and commentators wondering what his bizarre celebration meant during Monday’s epic Test victory at the MCG.
India looked to be cruising towards a drawn result in the fourth match with Rishabh Pant and Yashavi Jaiswal digging in to save the team from defeat.
Australian skipper Pat Cummins opted for a change of tact, and threw the ball to part-time off-spin bowler Head in an attempt to lure the Indians into a false shot.

The plan worked perfectly, with the unreliable Pant wildly hooking a loose Head delivery to deep mid-wicket to be caught out by Mitchell Marsh.
As the rest of his team ran towards Marsh to celebrate, Head was seen sticking his right index finger into a hole he had made with his left hand.
The act went on for several seconds and commentators on Fox Cricket were stunned into an awkward silence.
“We might have a new topic on The Big Break next Test match – weirdest wicket celebrations ever seen,” Aussie women’s captain Alyssa Healy said.
“I’m not going to go there… I’m terrified to go there.”
Commentators and viewers had to keep guessing what the strange celebration meant while Australia bowled India out to win the match and take a 2-1 series lead.
Cummins was then asked about the Head moment in his post-match press conference.
The skipper wasn’t aware of the celebration, but once he was shown what Head had done he laughed, and explained the meaning behind it.
“Sorry, yes, OK. I can explain that,” Cummins said as others in the room blushed.
“It’s (that) his finger’s so hot he’s got to put it in a cup of ice. That’s what it is.
“That’s normally the running joke. He was at the Gabba or somewhere and he got a wicket as well and he just goes straight to the fridge, grabs a bucket of ice, puts his finger in and just walks in front of (Nathan Lyon).
“Just like that. He thinks it’s very funny.
“So that’s what it would have been, nothing else.”
Head later posted a photo to his Instagram account showing his right index finger in a cup of ice.
He may be asked to do the same in Sydney when the two teams meet at the SCG on Friday.
Australia needs to win the series to take hold of the coveted Border-Gavaskar trophy for the first time time in a decade.
India, being the holders of the trophy, need to win in Sydney to draw the series and retain the silverware.
