Australia could be without one of its biggest stars for the New Zealand series after all rounder Sophie Molineux fractured her ribs during training.
Cricket Australia released a statement confirming the injury happened when she was struck by a ball in the chest while batting.
The injury could rule her out for up to eight weeks with the side currently preparing for the T20 World Cup in October.

“She is now working through a graduated rehabilitation and return-to-play program.”
Australia’s T20I series against New Zealand starts on September 19 and includes three
matches.
The side will then head to Bangladesh for the World Cup which starts on October 3.
