The men’s and women’s Australian basketball teams will play at the FIBA 3×3 Asia Cup 2024 in Singapore from March 27 to 31.
Now in its seventh edition, the FIBA 3×3 Asia Cup – a continental 3×3 basketball tournament – will be played at the OCBC Square at the Singapore Sports Hub.
Australia are the most successful team at the FIBA 3×3 Asia Cup with three titles each for the men’s and women’s teams. Gangurrus women, the defending champions, are placed in Pool D with New Zealand and a qualifier.
The Gangurrus men, meanwhile, will start their campaign from the qualifying draw where they are clubbed with Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tahiti. If Australia men advance, they will play Japan and the Philippines in the main draw.
Mongolia are the defending champions in the men’s event. They are in the main draw in Group B.
A total of 23 men’s teams and 20 women’s teams will compete in Singapore. The qualifying draw will be held on March 27-28 ahead of the main draw. The knockouts, including the finals, are scheduled for March 31.
