Finance Manager – Job – ArtsHub Australia

Black Swan State Theatre Company is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented, and efficient Finance Manager with a passion for performing arts in WA. The Finance Manager undertakes the day-to-day financial transactions for the company and processes the payroll, working closely with the Head of Finance who reviews month-end accounts and provides financial reporting to the CEO and the Board. The Finance Manager is also the day-to-day point of contact for other team members for finance-related information.

To be successful in this role, candidates must meet the following essential criteria:

Essential 

  • Minimum of 5 years bookkeeping and payroll experience in Australia.
  • Relevant and current bookkeeping qualifications.
  • Solid knowledge of payroll and experience in processing payroll.
  • A proven high level of proficiency using MYOB and MS Office programs, such as Excel and Word.
  • Ability to work in a busy environment, with a small team and prioritise daily tasks.
  • Very high level of accuracy, efficiency, and attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Desirable Criteria

  • BAS Agent or Certificate of Accounting/Financial Services 
  • Knowledge of the performing arts industry.
