Australian fitness coach, model and influencer Jaxon Tippet died from an apparent heart attack after turning 30 last month, according to his family.
Tippet‘s death was announced to his 226,000 Instagram followers on Monday. His family was told that the influencer died from a heart attack while vacationing in Turkey, according to an Instagram story on Tippet’s profile.
“It’s with a heavy heart that our beloved Jaxon has passed away on Nov 10th 2024. He was such a beautiful soul and had such a positive impact on the world,” an Instagram post reads. “Jaxon passed away while on his trip in Turkey and we want to ask for your help and support in getting him home.”
Tippet‘s family has started a GoFundMe to bring the influencer’s body back to Australia for a proper burial.
“There really are no words to describe this sort of pain, and we know a lot of people will be feeling this heartbreak with us as he was loved by so many,” the campaign reads.
“Jaxon would help anybody and everybody around him, and now I hope we can get around Sharee and Mark to help assist in any way we can, starting with raising the funds to bring our son, brother, uncle and friend home and assist with funeral expenses,” it continued.
Tippet turned 30 on Oct. 30, according to a post on his Instagram. He welcomed his son in December 2023.
He gained his large following from sharing fitness updates and motivational content on social media and on several podcasts.
The bodybuilder was also open about his past steroid addiction. In 2017, Tippet was arrested with more than 250 steroid tablets and vials of testosterone and was fined $4,000, the New York Post reported.
“It was hell, bro,” he said during a 2022 interview with the outlet. “I lost a girlfriend off of it, I nearly lost my family off of it. I nearly went to jail as I got caught with my own personal use of steroids.”
The GoFundMe has raised more than $35,500 AUD (about $23,200 USD) as of Tuesday afternoon.
