Throughout the month of September, players from diverse backgrounds from across our region are invited to come along to one of five free sessions with the Western Bulldogs’ Next Generation Academy (NGA).

To be eligible to participate, players must be:

• 11-15 years old
• Identify as Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander or
• Were born/ have one parent born in Asia or Africa and;
• Must reside in the Western Bulldogs NGA Zone – see here for the eligible postcodes.

Players of all genders are welcomed and encouraged.

The free come and try sessions will be held in Horsham, Heywood, Ballarat, Warrnambool and Braybrook.  

• Wed 4 Sep, 4:30pm – 5:45pm – Coughlin Park, Horsham
• Thur 12 Sep, 4:30pm – 5:45pm – Heywood Football Netball Club, Heywood
• Wed 18 Sep, 4:30pm – 5:45pm – Ballarat High School, Ballarat
• Thurs 19 Sep, 4:30pm – 5:45pm – Mack Oval, Warrnambool
• Wed 25 Sep, 12pm – 2pm – Skinner Reserve, Braybrook

The Next Generation Academy program (NGAs) is a joint initiative between the AFL and all 18 clubs to increase the participation and development of Indigenous Australians and those with multicultural backgrounds in Australian Football.
