HACCI National Federation welcomes Dr Elena Limnios as new chair and expands national collaboration – Neos Kosmos

The Hellenic Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry National Federation (HACCI NF) has marked a pivotal moment in its mission to unite Greek-Australian business communities. HACCI NSW has officially joined the National Federation, strengthening ties between Hellenic-Australian businesses across the country.

The announcement was made at the 2024 HACCI Excellence Awards Gala by outgoing HACCI NF Council Chair and HACCI Victoria Board Chair, Fotini Kypraios. She handed over the leadership to Dr Elena Limnios, HACCI WA President, who takes on the rotating chair role.

“When we come together, we achieve more than we ever could on our own,” Kypraios stated, highlighting the federation’s progress in uniting Hellenic chambers nationwide.

Dr Limnios, a distinguished leader from Western Australia, has played a vital role in HACCI’s initiatives, including spearheading The Ellinikon roadshow. As the new chair, she pledged to further unify HACCI chapters and empower members.

“With this spirit of unity, we look forward to exciting developments for our members in 2025 and beyond,” Limnios said, inviting Greek-Australian business communities to join the federation.

She stressed HACCI NF’s commitment to building a stronger governance structure and a unified voice for Hellenic Australian businesses.

“We are dedicated to empowering Greek Australian business through collaboration and connectivity,” she added.

Strengthening global and national connections while expanding opportunities

HACCI NSW’s decision to join the federation underscores HACCI NF’s success in fostering collaboration since its formation in February 2023. Over the past year, HACCI NF has established significant partnerships, signing agreements with key organizations in Greece, including major Chambers of Commerce and Exporters Associations. These partnerships have opened doors to international markets for members, bolstering trade and collaboration.

HACCI NF also hosted a national roadshow showcasing “The Ellinikon,” Europe’s largest urban renewal project in 2024. Events across Perth, Adelaide, Darwin, and Melbourne drew interest from Australian investors, enhancing the federation’s reputation as a trusted link between Greece and Australia’s business communities.

HACCI South Australia also announced a leadership change, with Alex Demetriou, Partner in Charge at KPMG Australia, succeeding inaugural chair Kostas Koutsonas. His expertise promises to invigorate HACCI’s initiatives further.

Meanwhile, the 2024 HACCI Excellence Awards celebrated these milestones, featuring South Australia’s prominent Hellenic winegrowers and showcasing the chamber’s ability to create high-caliber networking opportunities.
